Scholarships

The award shall be tenable during the final year of study for any first undergraduate degree. The recipient will be selected on the basis of participation in, and contribution to, student governance and student activities at the University of Toronto, and academic achievement. The recipient will be expected to have maintained a cumulative average of B (GPA 3.0). Although the Awards Committee may also take into consideration the financial circumstances of the applicant, they shall not be a determinative factor. Both full and part-time students are eligible to apply

On the recommendation of the Faculty in Earth Science, to be awarded to a Year II UTM student specializing in Earth Science who obtains the highest standing in the courses required for the program. The student must be otherwise in good standing. Full time and part-time students will be considered. Registration in Year III of the Earth Science specialist program is a requirement of this award.

Awarded to a Fourth Year student in the Department of Chemical Engineering who has demonstrated the most marked improvement in academic standing.

Awarded to Victoria College students who have achieved excellence during the course of their studies in Second Year.

To be awarded to the best student in Ophthalmology in the third medical year.

The John Roberts Scholarship and Medal is awarded to the student in the Fourth Year of the Doctor of Pharmacy program who obtains the highest number of Honours grades in the Year 4 courses. If there is a tie, the cumulative GPA will be considered.

Awarded to Victoria College students in Second Year with financial need who achieve excellence in the course of their academic pursuits.

To be awarded each year to a student in the second medical year, who, in the opinion of the Awards Committee, exemplifies the personal qualities and achievements of the late Lidia A. Dykun. The Committee will take into account the character, academic standing and contributions in extra-curricular activities within the Faculty of Medicine and the holder should possess a high standard in each quality listed. Wherever possible, preference will be given to a student who does not hold another award in that year. Applications will be available in the fall.

Admission scholarships are awarded for the highest academic average on admission to the Faculty, and contingent upon enrolment in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Programme. Accumulation of unspent income may be awarded as additional scholarships at the discretion of the Faculty Council.

Awarded to Victoria College students in Second Year who achieve excellence during the course of their academic pursuits, with preference given to students who are the first generation in their family to attend university.
