This instructional program class comprises any residency training program that prepares physicians in the comprehensive care and treatment of all aspects of human growth and development from conception through fetal life, infancy, childhood and adolescence, including preventive and therapeutic regimes. These programs include courses in behavioural aspects of illness, related family and community medicine issues, and emergency and critical care procedures.
