This instructional program class comprises any residency training program that prepares physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with digestive and other gastrointestinal disorders. These programs include courses in surgical procedures, cancer of the digestive system, nutrition and malnutrition, and counselling the behavioural adjustment of patients with chronic problems. Requires prior completion of a program in internal medicine.
